Simay Özkan

I am currently working as a Project-based Management Trainee. In addition to my project on workforce planning and optimization through the efficient use of KPIs, I am also responsible for weekly/monthly reporting and keeping documentation up to date.

As part of this project, my teammates and I designed a scheduling model for DYO’s powder coating line that incorporates sequence-dependent cleaning times. By validating the model with real production data, we improved the efficiency and flexibility of production planning. As a result, cleaning durations were shortened, delays were eliminated, and overall operational performance was enhanced.

During my internship at CMS Group, I gained practical experience in central planning where I assists in analyzing production schedules and inventory management. My role involves collaboration with various departments to ensure seamless coordination and timely delivery of products. I also helped streamline processes to improve operational efficiency, gaining valuable insights into manufacturing and logistics operations.

At ENERCON, I worked as a production intern, supporting the team in optimizing production workflows. I was involved in monitoring daily production metrics. Identifying bottlenecks, and suggesting improvements for process efficiency. This hands-on experience deepened my understanding of production management and the importance of maintaining quality control and safety standards.

In my role at Isıpark, I assisted the planning and coordination of operational tasks. I was responsible for collecting and analyzing data related to supply chain logistics, helping to improve the overall planning process. My contributions helped to ensure that projects met deadlines while staying with budget and I developed a deeper appreciation for strategic planning in the Industrial sector.
