I was born in Seyhan, Adana, and achieved notable success in national project competitions during my high school years. I graduated with honors from the Environmental Engineering Department at Çukurova University and completed my master's degree in Environmental Sciences at the same institution. During this period, I conducted academic research in phytoremediation, water resource planning, environmental risk assessment, and sustainable watershed management.
While pursuing my master's degree, I began my professional career in environmental engineering, managing occupational health and safety responsibilities at Meltem Kimya Recycling Facility. Later, I completed the Executive Leadership Program (ELP) at UPenn in the United States, where I contributed to various technology and innovation projects. With a growing focus on the energy sector, I participated in seminars and courses at institutions like MIT and Princeton, enhancing my expertise in sustainable energy solutions.
After returning to Turkey, I began my Ph.D. studies in Renewable Energy at the Energy Institute of Istanbul Technical University (ITU). During this period, I gained expertise in energy economics and policies, clean combustion technologies, fuel cells, and solar and wind energy conversion technologies. I also contributed to TÜBİTAK projects, supporting Turkey's strategic energy initiatives.
Over the past 18 years, my career has been predominantly focused on R&D, particularly in chemistry and materials laboratories. I have extensive experience in chemical processes, material production, and analytical technologies. Additionally, I have worked in the automotive sector in Sweden and the United States, specializing in battery material production and development projects.
Following the Covid-19 pandemic, I leveraged global remote learning opportunities to pursue further education in both engineering and art. I completed programs at prestigious institutions such as Chalmers, Harvard, and Lund, broadening my technical and creative perspectives.
My diverse academic background, multidisciplinary career, and international experience have equipped me with comprehensive expertise in environmental engineering, energy, chemistry, and materials science. I am dedicated to delivering innovative, solution-oriented contributions in these fields.
As a Senior Project Manager at Tesla, I specialized in battery materials production, focusing on operations within chemistry and materials laboratories. My role involved overseeing projects that optimized material processes and ensured quality standards in advanced energy solutions.
Project Manager in the Battery Production and Hybrid Vehicle Technologies department at Volvo Cars. Collaborated with cross-functional teams to oversee the development and implementation of innovative solutions in battery material manufacturing, with a focus on optimizing performance for hybrid vehicle systems.
I served as a researcher/consultant in the TUBITAK–Iran MSRT Joint Project titled "Synthesis and Characterization of CaMnO3/rGO Composite as an Electrocatalyst for Li-O2 Batteries." I was responsible for Chemistry and Material Production Laboratories, overseeing project execution and laboratory operations.
I worked as a researcher in the TUBITAK Project titled "Computational Screening and Synthesis of Catalysts for Oxygen Reduction Reaction." I was responsible for planning and managing the Electrochemistry Laboratory and overseeing project execution.
I contributed to the TUBITAK-KAMAG Project titled "Development of the National Air Pollution Emission Management System" in collaboration with Istanbul Technical University (ITU) and Bahcesehir University, as well as ongoing ISTKA projects. Additionally, I taught courses on Drinking Water Treatment and Air Pollution Control.
I served as a Senior Engineer in renewable energy technologies and building applications within joint projects between the private sector, local governments, and universities. My role included involvement in the project design and engineering stages. (6 months of active engagement)
I was responsible for chemical process control, R&D in chemical production (plasticizers, PVC, polymers, etc.), delivering and overseeing occupational health and safety (SHE) training, ensuring compliance with quality standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 18001), hazardous waste management, control, and recycling, as well as preparing Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reports in accordance with EIA regulations.
