I’ve been working as a financial analyst in rating scoring calculation within Turkish Finance Participation Bank’s Commercial Credit Policies and Strategies Department.
Rating scoring determines the credit limit in credit requests of both medium & large-sized firms and commercial & corporate sized companies. I frequently use Microsoft Excel and formulas, examine financial files such as balance sheet, income statement, trial balance, Turkish GAAP, IFRS, Independent Auditor’s Reports & Annual Reports and work on Turkish Trade Registry Gazette and modules such as CRM during my job.
Together with a team, I worked in support services for customer transactions, commercial banking transactions, cash deposits and withdrawals, checks and promissory notes, foreign exchange operations, insurance payments, in different retail branches of the bank. We were primarily assigned to Istanbul branches, but also assigned to other branches across the country.
Since I have a very good communication with the customers, I was promoted within 4 months and became the fastest promoted person among my team.
With the imece platform, a non-profit NGO founded by Zorlu Holding, I took part as a partner and mentor in a Wikipedia project that lasted 3 months, covering topics such as ESG and impact investing.
During this period, I worked as a project manager in researching, documentationing and reporting of the project by making separate presentations for each topic and directing a team of 30 people.
I was involved in guest coordination, information consultation, ticket sales and payments, cloakroom services, assisting with the preparation of bar products and cocktails, and post-event landscaping.
I also responded to inquiries from attendees and addressed any issues or complaints and make connection between information desk and security when unexpected controversies take place.
