Learning and teaching have been my greatest passions throughout my life. Even in high school, my biggest goal was to become a physics teacher. I took my first steps into teaching during my university years by actively participating in volunteer teaching projects under the scope of our social services club. After graduating, I had the opportunity to experience IB programs as a teacher, building on my own experiences as a student. As an educator, I prioritize differentiation, considering my students' needs, existing knowledge, skills, and interests, and aiming to cultivate self-regulated learners through inquiry-based lessons filled with experiments.
I have had the chance to experience the real classroom environment while continuing my academic pursuits, completing my master's degree. During my master's, where I conducted my research on coordination in schools, I concurrently served as a project coordinator and head of the science department at the school where I was working. Throughout this journey, I authored book chapters on various topics such as educational planning, teacher autonomy, and educational inequality.
Following my master's, I desired to further specialize in design of learning environments and processes, hence initiating my doctoral studies in Learning Sciences. While my doctoral studies encompassed diverse subjects such as AI in education, teacher training, and educational policy, my focus became self-regulated learning and metacognition. I continue to engage in research and practice within this domain.
