I have a general interest in everything related to the brain, with a particular focus on subjects such as consciousness, perception, and attention, and I plan to build my career in the field of neuroscience. During my studies, I gained experience in designing and executing projects across various courses and acquired proficiency in several software programs, which I applied in various projects. Moving forward, I am eager to continue developing my skills while making meaningful contributions to science.
In collaboration with a professor from Jagiellonian University, we created a research team in Türkiye and are currently working on a study on the McGurk Effect
I attended an EEG course offered at Hacettepe University, where after acquiring theoretical knowledge, we proceeded to collect EEG data.
I participated in an EEG study that examined live actions and addressed topics such as attentional load and visual perception. As part of the TÜBİTAK BİÇABA program, I worked as an intern for six months, after which I voluntarily continued to assist with the study. During the project setup, I helped organize the stimuli and expanded my background knowledge by engaging in relevant readings related to the study. Additionally, I learned how to operate EEG equipment, gained insights into EEG data interpretation, and subsequently collected EEG data from participants.
I served as an assistant throughout the entire data collection process for a research study examining the recognition of emotional facial expressions and emotional working memory performance.
In the lab, an eye-tracking device was introduced and information regarding its usage was provided. Additionally, I delivered a presentation on our TÜBİTAK-supported project and gave an informational session on TÜBİTAK support. I also recruited participants for a study on Borderline personality disorder. Furthermore, I wrote a review article on borderline.
In the elective Experimental Psychology Research and Application course I took, I engaged in detailed readings and discussions for an entire term on topics such as visual short-term memory load, attention, and distractor interference, and subsequently volunteered to assist my professors with their research.
We conducted a study examining the relationships between eating habits, eating behaviors, and personality structures, funded by a TÜBİTAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye) research grant.
By reaching out to experts from various disciplines, I actively contributed to the planning, organization, and execution of academic events.
For two laboratory studies, I participated in the development, collection of behavioral measures, and statistical analysis processes.
I contacted participants in a study examining mother–child interactions and served as an observer during the data collection processes.
I was a member of a team that organized social events for psychology students.
