I am a prospective engineer, recently graduated from Sakarya University's Department of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering. Currently, i am working on a TUBITAK supported project with Basak Traktor titled ''The Effect of Welding Thickness and Joint Type on Fatigue Strength.'' I successfully completed engineering internships in the Welding Fabrication department at TIRSAN and the Coke Plants at KARDEMIR. My project and internship experiences have particularly strengthened my analytical and problem solving skills in manufacturing environments. As a detail-oriented and solution-focused engineer, I aim to combine my technical knowledge with practical applications in the field. I am planning to work in a sphere where I can apply my knowledge, experiences, and skills as a professional.
I completed a one-month internship at Kardemir's coke production plant, where I had the opportunity to observe and engage in the essential phases of coke production, a critical part of metallurgical processes. Throughout this experience, I gained practical knowledge in process control, quality standards, and safety procedures, enhancing both my technical understanding and hands-on skills in this field. I also analyzed problems and collaborated with teams to develop effective solutions, while contributing to a positive team environment by working closely with fellow interns on group projects and presentations.
I completed a one-month internship in the welding fabrication section at TIRSAN, where I observed various stages of the manufacturing processes throughout the factory. This experience allowed me to gain insight into production workflows and quality control measures. In the welding department, I worked alongside colleagues to examine welding defects on sheet metal, enhancing my practical knowledge in identifying and addressing quality issues within manufacturing.
