Here is an experienced domain expert in maritime navigation and regulation matters who can work as a product owner, project manager or regulatory expert in shipping world. Besides navy background, I have also deep knowledge about maritime technology, regulatory, equipment and novel designs.
I am detail-oriented team player with strong organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy.
Main responsibilities:
I am participating in the Periodically Unmanned Ship project in which I am working with a software development team, I am responsible to define functional requirements and acceptance criteria from regulations (e.g., COLREG, SOLAS, STCW), user stories and standards (e.g., ISO, IEC). I have written a Concept of Operation as a main author for PUB I have also participated in the installation and testing documentation of PUB. The system has been installed in DFDS Selandia Seaways ship in Cuxhaven,HamburgWe have done multiple HAZID and brainstorming workshop for this project together with LR It is a great experience to explore the unknown environment and shape a product with a talented team from all around the world. I am a kind of product owner in this project. Furthermore, I am familiar with the type approval of such a system into an INS (NACOS) in accordance with SOLAS (and MED, IEC, various MSC Circulars) 2
I am a part of AIM team. We have done multiple HAZID and brainstorming workshop for this project together with DNV-GL. I am supporting the team with testing and verification of AIM according to COLREG. This includes defining the scenarios and AIS data to be tested together with acceptance criteria derived from COLREG with clear and subtle argumentation. I am supporting the Head of Product in the project
I am a part of new RCC team. We have performed multiple agile meetings to solve the RCC business case and connectivity issue. I have formed the functional requirements list for inland water way user case for RCC according to Rhine Convention (CCNR). The test installation and other equipment tests (RS24, SPECS and connectivity tests, SmartDrive) are performed in Wartsila test vessel AHTI in Hamburg.
For each of the projects, I am a part of daily sprints, sprint reviews and sprint plannings
During drafting the non mandatory MASS Code, I had participated drafting lookout functional requirement with OneSea consortium for Finland Flag State
I conducted number of collision risk numeric analysis of port approach manoeuvrings from the simulator output dataset for the Port Authority in accordance to national regulations. The analysis includes different kind of ships (tankers, containers, passenger ships etc.) different environmental conditions (wave, current, wind).. Environmental conditions are calculated according to ISO documents and published in DOI: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.oceaneng.2019.106558 2
I developed an application in RShiny environment that can process navigation data of any ship. The data imported from the VDR of ship by NMEA handling program. The ultimate visual output of application is port approach navigation risk monitoring
This visual analytic tool provide HCI framework that help VTC personnel visually grasp the waterway risk profile. The unique characteristic of the work is the visual abstraction for navigation safety. The final results have been published in https://doi.org/10.1016/j.eswa.2021.1147554
