I had studied with a scholarship in İzmir University of Economics and finished the logistics department with a degree of 3.09.
Achievement
Unilever Algida Stock Allocation group was selected as the first group among all projects by the jury for fulfilling the requirements of the senior project course. This project was also maintained under the Unilever Chain Reaction Organization. The aim of the project is the allocation of Algida’s frozen and unfrozen goods between Algida’s warehouses. Algida has Corlu production facility, Corlu main warehouse, and an unstable amount of rental warehouses, and the network ends with distributors of Algida. The project’s scope is limited to this network, and according to this network, it is optimally determined how many manufactured products should be in where and when they should be. That is also called the distribution plan of Algida. This determination is aimed to realize owing to the usage of a mathematical model. This model shows some outputs such as shipments between nodes in the network, inventory amounts of warehouses and distributors, ending inventory levels of warehouses, warehouses’ and distributors’ capacity usage ratio. In addition, rental warehouses’ opening and closing decisions could be realized thanks to this mathematical model.
