SEZGIN CIRAY

I am an engineering student at İzzet Baysal University, majoring in Mechanical Engineering, with a strong passion for the field, an openness to learning, and a focus on continuous improvement. I am proficient in industry-standard software like SolidWorks and MATLAB, which I have actively applied in my role as the captain of the Volans Rocket Team in 2023. During this time, I contributed to rocket design and engineering solutions, leading the team to achieve significant success at Teknofest. Between June and October 2024, I participated in the Work and Travel program, where I enhanced my communication skills and experienced cultural exchange by interacting with people from diverse backgrounds. My communication skills are strong, and I have extensive experience working in team settings. I overcame various challenges during my first year at university, which helped me grow and motivated me to constantly strive for better. By staying updated with technological advancements, I ensure that I stay one step ahead, and I am confident that these qualities will lead me to success in the field of engineering.

The automotive industry is one of my greatest interests in engineering. Following the design, engineering solutions, and technological advancements in vehicles is both a passion and a constantly evolving hobby for me. Modifying vehicles and staying informed about engine technologies are some of the activities that reinforce my interest in this field.

Traveling is a great passion of mine, allowing me to explore new places and experience different cultures. One of the reasons I went to the United States was to gain this cultural experience and a global perspective. Traveling helps me gain new perspectives and contributes to my personal growth.
