• Through my 17 years of working with young children I have taught students of all abilities and needs, especially in my latest and longest role in Awsaj school. I’m currently employed in an Empower Class in elementary which caters to high need students who sometimes need 1 to 1 special education and attention. The major role of my job here is creating educational approaches for children with special needs (physical, intellectual or cognitive difficulties). This focuses on the general education curriculum content or materials to cater for children with special needs. As an organization, the school gives training yearly according to our position and needs which has greatly helped my skill develop.
• Prior to working in the elementary school, I worked from Aug 2015 to June 2019 as Assistant Teacher in High school section, EBD Class, dealing mainly with students with emotional behavior disorder. Before joining Awsaj I have also worked in mainstream nursery and preschool setting with a wide age range of children, providing stimulation, engaging environments whilst also caring for their physical wellbeing and safety.
