SUPPORTING INFORMATION

  • I am aware that I am still at the beginning of my journey and that I have chosen a challenging profession. Becoming a doctor has always been one of my dreams, and my greatest motivation is that it is one of the main professions through which you can touch people's lives.
  • One of the reasons why I chose Emergency Medicine is that it is one of the specialties where we have the most contact with people and can make a direct difference in their lives. Therefore, I wanted to shape my career plan around Emergency Medicine. The action involved and making the initial diagnosis in the emergency department are among the most satisfying aspects for me. Being present during a resuscitation, working as part of the team, and bringing a patient back to life are incredibly rewarding and satisfying.
  • During my Emergency Medicine training, I gained experience in Cardiology, Radiology, and the Intensive Care Unit. These experiences strengthened my ability to assess critically ill patients, manage emergencies and crises, interpret clinical and radiological findings, and contribute effectively during resuscitation. I have developed practical resuscitation skills and am confident in remaining calm, making timely decisions, and working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team in high-pressure situations.
  • I would describe myself as a good and adaptable team member. During the intense, chaotic, and stressful moments that sometimes occur in the emergency department, I am often described as calm and positive.
  • The hospital where I work is a training and research hospital, and we sometimes work with medical students and intern doctors. Since I have gone through the same stages myself, we discuss the key aspects of Emergency Medicine and its importance in the medical profession, and we practise effective communication with patients. We also manage practical procedures and skills together, such as ECG interpretation, blood gas analysis, CPR, and urinary catheterisation.
  • I would like to continue my training in the UK in order to receive better education, improve myself, and learn more effectively.
