Selena Tokay

I have a diverse and multicultural background that has shaped both my personal identity and my educational journey. My mother is Russian, and my father is Turkish, which means I've been immersed in both Russian and Turkish cultures from a young age. I was born in Moscow, Russia, and spent the first 11 years of my life there, which gave me a deep connection to the Russian language, traditions, and lifestyle.

During my early years in Moscow, I attended Cambridge High School, a school that helped me build a solid academic foundation. After spending over a decade in Russia, my life took a significant turn when my mother and I moved to Bahrain. I spent a year studying at Capital School in Bahrain, which broadened my perspective and introduced me to a completely different culture and educational system.

However, my journey didn't stop there. After a year in Bahrain, I moved to Turkey to live with my father and my stepmother in Fethiye, a coastal city that has become my home ever since. Since then, I've been studying at Bahçeşehir High School, where I'm currently in my final year. The transition to Turkey marked an important chapter in my life, where I was able to connect with my Turkish heritage and further develop my identity as someone who bridges multiple cultures.

Now, as I approach the end of my high school years, I am eager to pursue higher education in Europe. I believe studying in Europe will provide me with the opportunity to deepen my academic knowledge while being exposed to new ideas and experiences that will enrich my understanding of the world. My international background, combined with my passion for learning, makes me excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.

Took part in Volleyball Tournaments in High School Volleyball Team and Eczacıbaşı Club between 2021 and 2024.
