Carried out the following experiments to study the anti-cancer effects of PEGylated AuNP-conjugated with Cathepsin B specific peptide, BPD (photosensitizer) and cRGD (targeting agent)- on epithelial ovarian cancer.

Experiments carried out:

Pegylation of AuNPs, AuNPs' surface modification, Spectrophotometric analysis, LC-MS detection, SKOV-3 culturing and cytotoxicity assay.

Throughout this course, I applied my knowledge of lab safety protocols, experimental and observational study design, and biostatistics. I also gained experience in proposal writing and patenting. Additionally, I became proficient in laboratory techniques such as PCR and developed an understanding of the applications of various microscopy methods and in-vitro cell assays in research.

AnatomyX: Musculoskeletal Cases

Instructor: Dr. Trudy Van Houten

The course helped me achieve: 1) an understanding of the anatomy basic to five commonly occurring musculoskeletal injuries, 2) recognition of the fundamental relationship between anatomical structure and function, 3) an ability to integrate and correlate data from multiple sources, including gross anatomy, histology, radiology, and clinical/surgical considerations, and 4) an appreciation of the principle that sound anatomical knowledge is one of the fundamental underpinnings for sound clinical decision-making.

• With consent from all parties, I spent a duration of one month attending surgeries behind glass
