In my professional career, the most important principle for me is to believe that the place where you are suitable should also be the place where you belong. I think a sense of belonging is of great importance because without it, taking initiative and assuming risks becomes more challenging. Throughout my career, I have aimed to work in the trenches, like a chef in the kitchen, and lead like a chef in presentation. Learning every day, applying what I have learned, and sharing knowledge are essential values for me. Before professionalism, I believe in the solid foundation of empathy and being a good human being.
As for my professional experiences, I have proficiency in today's RDMS (Relational Database Management Systems) database structures. I have experience in normalization, querying, and development. In this context, I realized that, apart from syntax and unique functions, there is not a significant difference between PL-SQL and T-SQL. I apply the same philosophy when it comes to using tools like JAVA, Microsoft .Net, Python, etc. Using these tools is akin to driving different car models; they each have their pros and cons, and it's a matter of preference. When applied to our profession, analytical thinking, the ability to implement this approach, and a good teamwork mentality can help us realize our goals.
Speaking of my professional journey, I began my career in 2008 at Doğan Distribution. Here, I provided support for JAVA web projects (Servlet, JSP, JSF) and dealer applications using Oracle databases. After nine years at Doğan Distribution, I embarked on a one-year journey with Deniz Investment in 2017. At Deniz Investment, I had the opportunity to build the infrastructure of an Internal Audit application from scratch. This application generates real-time information and dynamic reports for the internal audit unit using .NET MVC, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) technologies, reducing the workforce requirement by 75%. Since 2018, I have been working at Şeker Sigorta A.Ş. in dual roles as an analyst and a software engineer. Over my 14 years of professional experience, I have performed analysis, application development, and end-user testing stages collaboratively. At Şeker Sigorta, I develop insurance products using a fundamental application and provide support for various in-house technologies. As of May 1st, 2022, I am serving as the Assistant Director of Information Technologies at Güvence Hesabı. Seasoned Assistant Director knowledgeable about all areas of business operations. Offering 15 years of experience in business planning, operations and team management. Strong leadership and team-building skills. Energetic leader promotes years of industry experience with superior record of accomplishment. Ambitious and highly motivated surpasses demanding objectives and achieves or exceeds set goals.
In the field of insurance software and insurance analysis, I made enhancements through thorough analysis. We conducted web service integrations with third-party companies. I developed hybrid applications using Microsoft and JAVA technologies. I extensively utilized the SSIS structure for tasks such as bulk SMS, email, and reading data from large files. We upgraded SSRS versions and developed software FTP file-sharing protocols. Additionally, we created extensive user reports within the organization (Claims Department, Collection Department, Reinsurance Department). Throughout this journey, I actively implemented analysis, development, and testing applications.
Additionally, I offered technical support by leveraging my expertise in complex technologies. This included the installation and administration of Microsoft SQL Server databases, as well as the utilization of Microsoft SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) and SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) technologies. Furthermore, I actively contributed to developments using Microsoft .NET 5 Framework MVC (Model-View-Controller).
I played a significant role in the development of Java-based enterprise web applications within Yaysat. Starting as a junior developer, I evolved into a senior role over time. During my tenure, I made substantial contributions to the analysis process, provided support for PLSQL development on the Oracle database, and contributed to the development of intensive corporate reports. On the Java development side, I provided support from servlets to JSP and JSF stages. Additionally, I conducted tuning efforts on Oracle 10g and worked extensively with Crystal Reports. There were extensive developments in the database segment using PLSQL and web services. This experience allowed me to gain valuable insights into software analysis.
One of the significant milestones I experienced in the organization was the transition of Tomcat servers to WebLogic 10g. During this period, I took on an active role and responsibility. The most significant challenge we faced at that time was the incorrect operation of web applications on the servers due to Turkish character compatibility issues.

Biking and chess are two of my favorite hobbies.
I enjoy cycling because it allows me to be outdoors and in touch with nature. Riding a bike is a delightful way to engage in physical activity while also enjoying the beauty of the outdoors. It's also an environmentally friendly mode of transportation that I prefer. Traveling by bike allows me to explore new places and relish scenic views. Moreover, it promotes a healthy lifestyle and helps reduce stress.
Chess, on the other hand, is a mental challenge I relish. It's a game played on a chessboard with black and white pieces, and it tests my strategic thinking and intelligence. Every player aims to checkmate the opponent's king, which sharpens my problem-solving abilities. It's a competitive game that hones my skills in strategy and tactics.
These two hobbies, one physical and the other mental, not only contribute to my overall well-being but also provide enjoyable pastimes.
