Photographic editing
I was interested in electronics and studied electronic engineering. It contributed a lot to me and my life as a great hobby, superior knowledge of computer hardware and the desire to follow technology.
During my internship at TRT (Turkish National Television), I became interested in media, sound, copywriting and photography. After school, media became my field of work. First, my passion for photography pushed me into journalism. I started working as a reporter at Harriet newspaper. I wrote my first texts on a typewriter, followed by visual media and radio. I was so hungry to learning that I worked, learned and gained experience. I had experience as a copywriter, voice-over artist and announcer at the television news centre.
When I realised that my days were repeating in a circle, I decided to quit and resigned. The combination of graphics, sound, text and images, and the magical things that came out of it, interested and fascinated me.
I bought a desktop computer. For 6 months I only left the house to go shopping. I tried to learn design programmes by trial and error, sitting at the computer day and night. The fastest internet speed I had was 5.6Kbps per second. There were no resources on the internet to help me learn. I could only use office programmes. The first graphic design program I tried to learn was Quark Express. Then Photoshop and then Freehand. I still sometimes use Freehand, it allows me to work quite quickly and get results for some jobs.
In my 23 years of business experience, I have been a manager many times. But I have always loved being in the workshop, working into the morning in the productive silence of the night and taking creative naps to rest.
I attach great importance to planning in my projects. I create, plan, close all open doors, remove question marks and move on to the creation phase. If the resulting work does not excite me, I throw it away without presenting it to the client. I strive to create the most appropriate work by focusing on purpose and outcome. I always aim to give my client a level above their expectations. I stand behind my work and keep a regular archive.
