I am a Mechanical Design leader with extensive experience at Otokar Automotive, demonstrating excellence in innovative vehicle body design and project management. I have proven abilities in leading teams, optimizing designs using CAD, and ensuring product marketability. I am experienced in designing high quality products that meet needs, with a talent for developing relationships and driving results.
Special machine design, preparation of manufacturing and assembly drawings, monitoring of production processes, product delivery and implementation of customer demands.
3D design of bus mechanical systems in the R&D department, creation of product trees, and prototype work.
- To ensure the design of bodies and subsystems of commercial vehicles of 6m-8m-9m, 10m, 12m and longer lengths with self-supporting monocoque body structures that have never been produced before within Otokar
-Ensuring the design of bodies and subsystems of special purpose vehicles (Armored buses, VIP buses, airport vehicles, etc.)
-Developing derivatives of existing products to meet customer demands, tender specifications, country or region specific demands.
-To ensure that the necessary developments and updates are made to ensure that the product maintains its marketability and continuity against factors such as market expectations, customer demands, regulations, competition criteria, etc. that change over time.
-Determining the tests and test content to be performed for the designed product, implementing them, interpreting the test results, solving the problems encountered during the test, and approving the product with the final design that is brought to the level to be released to the market.
-To ensure the supply of materials required for the creation of prototypes within the scope of the project, to prepare prototypes, to check their suitability for the purpose and to ensure that nonconformities are eliminated.
-Optimizing the weight of the designed vehicle body with inputs from computer-aided engineering software and test results, ensuring that a durable, lightweight, heavy-duty, long-lasting vehicle body is designed.
-To ensure that designs are made in a way that ensures modularity and commonality of parts in the designed systems and to establish systems for this purpose.
-Reviewing the articles of the tender specifications related to body systems, informing the project management about the articles that are not suitable or that need to be changed, providing the necessary technical information for the specifications, preparing vehicle layout drawings.
-Determining and managing design stages
-To supervise the projects carried out within the unit and ensure that they are completed on time and within the determined financial and technical targets.
-Ensuring that inventions are patented, preparing the necessary documents for utility model and patent applications, ensuring that applications are made, and following up on the process.
-Examining designs via CAD models during the product development phase, identifying problems and ensuring their resolution.
-To have engineering publications of body systems and parts prepared, to ensure that vehicle parts lists are created. To check the technical drawings that are design outputs, to check the parts lists created, to ensure that nonconformities are eliminated.
-Determining the training needs of the unit employees and making development plans.
