Since November 2022, I have been undertaking a voluntary internship under the supervision of Dr. Cengiz Demirsoy at NP Feneryolu Medical Center. Situated as the world's first accredited brain hospital, this facility has provided me with opportunities to engage with clients both individually and in group settings. Following the behavioral approach, I have overseen exposure therapy sessions. Through exposure to a diverse range of clients, I have gained an understanding of various pathologies and developed the ability to implement treatment modalities tailored to these conditions. My tenure here has allowed me to enhance skills such as analytical thinking, critical reasoning, and time management etc.

Working at Mazhar Osman Hospital requires extensive professional experience in the field of psychiatry and addiction. The challenges include the fact that patients have a variety of psychiatric and addiction problems and the attentive and careful approach required to deal with these situations effectively.I spent two weeks at AMATEM, where addicted patients receive inpatient treatment at Prof. Dr. Mazhar Osman Hospital, Turkey's first addiction treatment center, where I gained experience in communicating with patients one-on-one, making analyzes, participating in group therapies and participating in visits. At the same time, I participated in and organized SAMBA trainings that were required to be completed by addicted patients. I completed my internship in the women's closed service at the same hospital. There were psychotic patients in the women's ward. Here, there were mostly patients who were hospitalized for suicide attempts and harming themselves and those around them. By communicating with these patients, I acquired the ability to manage effective crisis, and improved my communication skills. Along with my deepening knowledge in the field of addiction and psychiatry, I have developed my skills to communicate effectively with patients. By learning to stay calm in crisis situations, I was able to respond quickly and effectively to patients' needs. These experiences increased my professional competence and strengthened my self-confidence.

During my internship, I acquired knowledge about psychodynamic and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) approaches. Within this framework, I gained experience in conducting group case formulations, case studies, and receiving supervision. By participating in child therapy sessions, I became knowledgeable in this field and observed therapies conducted with special needs children, broadening my understanding in this area as well. Throughout my internship at Sezgi Psychology Clinic, I earned certifications in various topics such as "Additional Intervention Methods for CBT, Clinical Observation and Interviewing Skills, Relational Approach in Psychotherapy, Case History Taking and Psychodynamic Case Formulation in Adolescents and Adults, Case History Taking and Psychodynamic Case Formulation in Children".
