Universidad Politecnica de Madrid
- On, as a master's, I participated in the Training Master Program for one year
- Academic Research: By examining the existing literature, a systematic literature review on agricultural policies in Turkey, Spain, and other EU countries was prepared, providing me with a significant opportunity to analyze similar studies and identify existing gaps in the research field
- Comparative analysis of agricultural policies in Turkey, Spain, and other EU countries was conducted by collecting data from relevant databases (e.g., Eurostat, TUIK)
- Contacting academics and experts working on agricultural policies in Turkey, Spain, and other EU countries enabled me to gain more insight into policy approaches in different countries
- Additionally, this academic program contributed significantly to my learning and practicing the Spanish language
- Finally, last year, I spent one year as a visiting doctoral researcher at the University of Sussex, Business and Management department
- During this time, together with Senior Lecturer Shova Thapa Karki, we conducted an in-depth analysis and systematic literature review on agricultural entrepreneurship, focusing on 'The Importance of Women Entrepreneurship in Rural Areas,' which is an important research gap despite the scientific studies on this topic, highlighting the need for further research
- Over the course of one year, through Scopus source scans, we identified the problems of entrepreneurial women in rural areas in both developed and developing countries
- By examining the existing literature on rural women entrepreneurship, we increased our knowledge on the subject and identified gaps in research
- We observed and collected data on rural women entrepreneurship examples and practices through field research
- We determined and applied the methods to be used in the research process
- Our research results are in the process of being reported, and they will be shared through presentations at international journals or conferences in the near future
- Therefore, my role as a visiting doctoral researcher at the University of Sussex, in line with the institution's expectations and the research topic, provided me with the opportunity to conduct research, produce knowledge, and share this knowledge in both academic and practical fields, making significant contributions to the field of rural women entrepreneurship.
