• Provide strategic directions on compliance, field offices oversight, and key humanitarian and development interventions;

• Lead partnership negotiations and joint program/project implementation;

• Lead and advise on strategic communication, legal challenges and partnership policy;

• Advise and train senior management on strategic compliance (OFAC, partnership vetting, etc.);

• Oversee and coordinate humanitarian and medical missions to Yemen;

• Designed and implemented organization’s HR system, with periodic review;

• Advise on basic education and education in emergency programs;

• Currently working on an Education in Emergency (EiE) project for IDP children in camps (Ma'rib governorate ...in Yemen)

• Review/comment on needs assessments, progress and evaluation reports, ensuring reflection of clear accountabilities

• Trained field on sphere standards, humanitarian principles and core accountabilities, resulting in increased staff capacities;

• Draft and issue press releases on humanitarian affairs as needed/appropriate, improving donor response;

• Achieved effective partnerships and coordination in humanitarian operations: multi-million $ contracts: WFP, UNHCR, DFID, OCHA: food security, livelihoods, shelter, protection, resulting in wider partnership networks;

• Oversaw the training on Conflict Transformation: over 3000 peace and conflict resolution practitioners, resulting in th prevention of armed conflicts ;

• Issued press releases and coverage on the Yemen humanitarian crises[1], attracting more humanitarian funding;

• Designed and implemented an Islamic Relief Yemen strategic communication strategy, improving our strategic networks and partnership

• Contributed to the write up of Yemen Humanitarian Response Plans (2012 and 2013), making it more practical and implementable;

• Served as important country consortium member (Care, ADRA, Save, Oxfam, etc.), resulting in additional project funding;

• Achieved excellent progress through working with diverse teams (i.e. emergency, livelihood and recovery) on needs assessments, reporting and core accountabilities, increasing organizational competitive edge, image and credibility;
