- Learned a lot on how to interpret their certain behaviors and gestures, to understand whether they are being inattentive or overstimulated, since most children were too young to talk.

- Conducted approximately 30-minute preliminary interviews with each participant, managed the process with skills of crisis management, time management, and on-the-spot problem-solving due to the nature of our participant group.
- Administered the General Health Questionnaire (GHQ) during the interviews.
- Utilized an Excel sheet to schedule focus group dates.
- Since a portion of the participant recruitment process coincided with the big Hatay earthquake, we inquired about its direct or indirect impact on subsequent interviews.
- Provided local psychological support resources with participants, if needed.
- Improved self-regulation skills, due to the potential traumatic experiences of the individuals we were interacting with, and endeavored to handle this sensitive issue as effectively as possible during our conversations.
