As a 4th Officer, I was responsible for supporting various operational and safety tasks aboard the vessel. My duties included acting as the Deputy Safety Officer, assisting in the implementation and monitoring of safety protocols. I regularly conducted checks on Life Saving Appliances (LSA) and Fire Fighting Equipment (FFE) to ensure they were fully operational and in compliance with maritime regulations. I also played an integral role in the safe navigation of the ship, supporting the bridge team in voyage planning and execution. Additionally, I assisted the Chief Officer with cargo operations, including loading and unloading, ensuring that procedures were followed and cargo was securely stowed. Furthermore, I was responsible for performing watchkeeping duties, monitoring the vessel's systems, and ensuring the safety of operations at all times.
