- The AI Research Commission aims to maximize the potential of AI technologies, strengthen the legal frameworks, and manage risks. In her capacity as a Commission Expert, she regularly participates in field visits and weekly commission meetings.

- She is currently co-authoring sections of the Commission’s ongoing Research Report on AI policies in Türkiye, ethical AI principles, and national and international legal frameworks.

- Contributed to the development of the legal and ethical aspects of the Turkish National AI Strategy (2021-2025) and played a key role in early-stage preparations for the National Data Strategy.

- Prepared periodic written opinions on the Council of Europe Framework Convention on AI and participated in online meetings as part of the Turkish Delegation.

- Made written contributions to international policy documents including those by the OECD AI Governance and the Council of Europe’s Human Rights and AI Working Groups.

- Contributed to aligning national legislation with EU regulations (e.g., GDPR) and participated in the assessment meetings for EU AI Act compliance from the outset.

- Designed the governance structure of the Public Data Space Pilot Project (PDSPP) with the technical team, embedding privacy and security by design and throughout the lifecycle.

- Appointed as legal expert for the 'Role of the Public Sector as a Data Provider for AI' project, presenting the legal and ethical aspects of the PDSPP, a Pilot Partner selected by Oxford Insights, GPAI, and CEIMIA.

- Prepared contracts and protocols for services procured and projects undertaken by the Office.

-Provided legal opinions on draft Turkish laws and regulations concerning digital transformation.

- Represented the institution as a speaker and participant in high-level meetings and workshops on digital transformation, data, cybersecurity, and AI.

- Managed personal data protection compliance project, from preparing data inventories to creating specific consent and transparency texts for each project.

- Provided feedback on the drafting of the state-of-the-art General-Purpose AI Code of Practice under the guidance of the EU AI Office, a key initiative aimed at offering clear guidance on implementing the AI Act's provisions for general-purpose AI model providers.

- Mentored members of the AI Policy Clinic Research Team and coordinated weekly subgroup meetings to discuss current AI policy issues.

- Conducted a comprehensive review, made necessary revisions, and updated the country assessments for the Artificial Intelligence and Democratic Values Report to reflect the latest developments. The report is available here: https://www.caidp.org/reports/aidv-2022/

- Presented policy analysis on the CoE Framework Convention on AI alongside co-team leaders.

- Advised domestic and international clients on privacy-centric process design, handling of data subject requests, engagement with public authorities, and ensuring the up-to-date management of the Data Controllers' Registry.

- Reviewed contracts and protocols for personal data protection, conducted legal and general research, and drafted due diligence checklists to support GDPR compliance efforts.

- Supported compliance projects by creating data mapping inventories, privacy notices, explicit consent forms, and privacy policies.

- Collaborated with a team of academics on a research project focused on AI and Law and conducted a literature review of global AI strategies and frameworks, with particular emphasis on intellectual property, personal data protection, and liability law.

- Reviewed and advised on international commercial contracts.

- Participated in a conference on investment opportunities in Abu Dhabi, seminars of the Korea International Arbitration Board and AI EXPO KOREA.
- Conducted legal and technical research on AI and prepared a comprehensive report focusing on its ethical dimensions.

- The first and honorary president of the 121-member Ankara Child Friendly City Council and the first child member elected to the Ankara Governorship Human Rights Board (HRB).

- Participated monthly meetings of the HRB and took part in discussions regarding the resolution of applications and complaints, and contributed to the work on the vision of a child-friendly city.
