  • • Worked within a Multidisciplinary team in various medical departments in a hospital with 700+ beds
  • • Worked in haematology, gastroenterology, oncology, nephrology, rheumatology wards and out patient clinics for 3 months each• Worked in the Endocrinology and Diabetes clinic for 2 years during that time and evaluated 10+ patients a day, received excellent feedback from my patients and their families, also from my colleagues alike.

Diagnostic and prognostic utility of INSM1, ISL1 and secretagogin in pheochromocytoma

Aim of research

To assess immunohistochemical expression of the second generation neuroendocrine immunohistochemical markers such as insulin gene enhancer protein 1 (ISL1), insulinoma-associated protein 1 (INSM1) and secretagogin (SECG) in pheochromocytoma (PCC) and prognostic value.

Conclusions/Actions

INSM1, ISL1 and SECG, which are second generation neuroendocrine immunohistochemical markers, can be used in the differential diagnosis of pheochromocytoma.ISNM1 may have prognostic significance.

The effect of anti-TNF treatment on bone mineral density in patients with ankylosing spondylitis

Aim of research

evaluate anti-TNF on Daily bone density in AS patients. Our secondary aim is to examine the changes in vitamin D levels, calcium, phosphorus, PTH, ALP, ESH and CRP levels after anti-TNF treatment.

Conclusions/Actions

after anti-tnf treatment we detected significant improvement on bone mineral density,disease activity indexes and patients' functional status

Since 2021, I have also been providing private tutoring for doctors who will be taking the OET exam.I am currently teaching doctors who are preparing for the PLAB 2 exam voluntarily because I received one of the highest scores in recent years in the November 2024 PLAB 2 exam aswell.

Personal statement

I am a dedicated Internal Medicine Specialist from Turkey with a decade of medical experience. I graduated from Maltepe Medical University in 2016 and obtained my Occupational Medicine diploma. I completed my full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) after successfully passing the PLAB 1 and 2 exams.

My passion for patient-centered, evidence-based care has been the driving force behind my career. I have gained extensive experience in various medical departments, including hematology, gastroenterology, oncology, nephrology, rheumatology, endocrinology, and diabetes. I have also taken on leadership roles and organized teaching sessions for medical students and colleagues, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning and maintaining high ethical standards. This commitment to learning ensures that I stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field, benefiting both my patients and my colleagues.

I am an active contributor to research and presentations, regularly participating in national internal medicine congresses. My work directly impacts patient care, as I have published papers on topics directly relevant to the job position. For instance, my specialization thesis on the impact of anti-TNF treatment on bone mineral density in patients with ankylosing spondylitis is currently in the process of being published, furthering our understanding of this condition and potentially improving patient outcomes.
