I am graduated from Galatasaray University with a solid mathematics background. I possess extensive expertise in air traffic control, garnered from rigorous training for an half and year in DHMI.
As an airport slot coordinator, I have amassed eight years of hands-on involvement in airport slot allocation and airline scheduling at the Turkey Airports Slot Coordination Center. My responsibilities included the operational planning and allocation of aircraft arrival and departure times (“airport slots”) in accordance with the European Council Regulation 95/93, as amended, and taking into account IATA Worldwide Slot Guidelines (WSG), airport capacity (runway/apron/terminal) and local rules. I provided these services for eight airports in Turkiye including the leading airports such as Istanbul IGA Airport, Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport, Antalya Airport. From 2019 onwards, my responsibilities evolved to encompass the meticulous monitoring and thorough investigation of airport slot usage of airline partners. Employing analytical tools such as Power BI, Excel, and Python, I conducted comprehensive analyses and crafted intuitive dashboards. This involved furnishing insightful analyses and reports to both our Slot Performance Committee and upper management. In 2022, I was selected as a representative of A-CDM project in Istanbul Airport on behalf of DHMI. So one of my significant achievements was leading the Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) process at Istanbul Airport. This experience allowed me to cultivate a deep appreciation for the intricacies of airport operations and ground handling.
In my current role as a Data Analyst with the Cargo Schedule Management division at Turkish Airlines, I oversee key aspects including revenue, costs, and flight data across our aircraft fleet. Through the optimization of routes, I actively contribute to the decision-making processes within the Schedule Management and Network Planning Department.
I am confident that my expertise in airport operations, airport slot & airline scheduling, A-CDM, data analysis and statistical modelling aligns perfectly with the requirements of the Schedule planner role. I am eager to further discuss how my background and skills can support Airport Capacity Department's goals during an interview. I look forward to have the opportunity to contribute to the airport ecosystem in YVR and to work alongside like-minded professionals dedicated to advancing aviation excellence.
