 Two-Axis Gimbal (Senior Project)

  • As part of our senior project, our team comprised of six individuals undertook the responsibility of developing a sophisticated two-axis gimbal system. The primary objective of this system was to accurately track and follow a red ball, which was visually represented by a laser during the demonstration. In order to efficiently execute this project, our team was divided into two distinct groups, namely the coding/algorithm team and the design team. I actively contributed as a member of the coding team.
  • Over the course of a year, we meticulously executed a series of essential processes that culminated in the successful completion of our project. These processes included extensive literature research, coding the intricate algorithm, devising the conceptual design, creating a functional prototype, and conducting rigorous development and testing. I am proud to announce that our efforts yielded remarkable results, and the project can be unequivocally deemed a resounding success.

Mini Channel Parallel Flow Heat Exchanger Design for Electric Vehicle Thermal Management System 


  • This project contains the analysis of an electric vehicle thermal management system and modeling of an internal heat exchanger which works as an evaporator in the heat pump air conditioning circuit of that thermal management system. The heat exchanger modeled in this study is a mini channel parallel flow (MCPF) type working as an evaporator. Modeling is done via Matlab by creating an algorithm which divides the heat exchanger into three different control volumes and calculates element lengths by iteration. The project is done for Heat Exchanger Design(ME430).

 Inverted Brayton Cycle for Waste Energy Recovery from Exhaust Gas of Heavy-Duty Vehicles 


  • This project contains the presentation and the analysis of an Inverted Brayton Cycle for waste energy recovery in heavy-duty vehicles. By utilizing MATLAB simulation, an air standard analysis was conducted to determine the effects of turbine efficiency, compressor efficiency, and expansion ratio on the power output of the cycle at three different working points of the engine. Although it is observed that high expansion ratio combined with high turbine and compressor efficiency improved the power output of the cycle, energy recovery was below 1% for all cases rendering the system inefficient compared to its Rankine Cycle counterparts. The project is done for Applied Thermodynamics(ME432).

 Gap Crossing Robots 

  • A team of 5 people was obligated to design, manufacture, and code a robot that has to be able to cross a gap of 60 cm length as a project for Mechatronic Systems(ME384). The robot was designed in SOLIDWORKS and the programming language was C++. Most of the parts of the robot were 3D printed except components like wheels, battery holders etc
