During my cadetship, I actively contributed to deck operations and supported the bridge team under the supervision of senior officers. My responsibilities included participating in navigational watchkeeping, assisting with mooring and unmooring operations, performing routine maintenance tasks (chipping, painting, cleaning), and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations onboard.

• Navigated ship under direction of captain and studied actionable insights to avoid collision.
• Performed deck maintenance and upkeep and reported abnormalities.
• Assisted in the navigational watch under OOW supervision.
• Participated in cargo and ballast operations monitoring.
• Involved in the maintenance and upkeep of deck equipment and safety gear.
• Followed instructions regarding SOLAS, MARPOL, and ISM Code standards.
• Practiced proper seamanship and safety awareness at all times.
• Supported emergency drills and safety inspections.
• Learned to prepare voyage passage plans and bridge documentation.
• Assisted in navigation activities for safe passage planning and efficient voyages.
• Inspected lifesaving and visual-signaling equipment for defects.
