I am a 3rd-year Metallurgical and Materials Engineering student at Middle East Technical University. Through my previous internship and coursework, I have enhanced my engineering knowledge and skills. I am eager to continuously learn and develop myself to create innovative solutions, contribute to sustainable projects, and tackle challenges. As a proactive and responsible engineering candidate with strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset, I aim to add value to both myself and the limitless world of materials.
During my internship at CB Metal, I actively participated in aluminum billet casting and homogenization processes. Throughout these processes, I learned the techniques used to ensure proper shaping of aluminum and achieving a homogeneous material structure. Additionally, I conducted chemical analyses using a spectrometer to perform quality control on cast aluminum and examined its compliance with specified standards. During my internship, I collaborated with engineers and expert factory workers in the casting field, which allowed me to experience the importance of teamwork and develop my communication and problem-solving skills.
I had the opportunity to be part of the team organizing the traditional METU Graduation Parade, which was attended by 1,500 people. This volunteer project allowed me to enhance my English proficiency, develop problem-solving skills for social events, and improve my professionalism by negotiating with various companies and sponsors.
