Sebahat Büşra ÇENGEL

I am in the thesis phase of my master's degree at Istanbul Technical University Eurasian Earth Sciences Institute. My study area is the Glacial Isostatic Uplift of the South Shetland Islands in West Antarctica. I work with remote sensing methods and use coastal and glacial geomorphology. I come from an engineering background, as I studied geological engineering at ITU as an undergraduate. I did my undergraduate thesis on general geology and earthquake risk in Çatalca. In my master's degree, I aimed to comprehend multidisciplinary work by combining my field studies and general geology knowledge with geomorphology, remote sensing, and mapping knowledge. I am currently writing my thesis and article. I will finish my master's degree by defending my thesis in January. I plan to do my doctorate on the same subjects.
