Berkay Hepgülsün

I am a highly motivated Chemical Engineering student with a strong interest in international academic and research experiences. I graduated from Kartal Anatolian High School, which provides German-based education, and earned a B1 level German language diploma during my studies. I began my university education at Middle East Technical University (METU) with an English preparatory program and later transferred to the Department of Chemical Engineering at Marmara University. In 2022, I demonstrated my English proficiency with a PTE Academic score of 51/90 and an IELTS score of 6.5/9.

At the end of my first year, I led the development of a non-invasive blood glucose measurement device using infrared light. I managed this project and successfully presented it as part of my term-end capstone work. At the beginning of my second year, I collaborated with a faculty member on a theoretical project involving the prediction of stress in cement composites using machine learning, which we presented at Bakırçay University. I am currently in the second semester of my second year and have been selected for the Erasmus+ program to study my third year at the University of Bologna. I am particularly interested in research, project development, and technical presentations, and I take initiative in academic and collaborative environments.
