Aircraft Conceptual Design within Performance Constraints — MATLAB, XFLR5, SolidWorks

  • Performed conceptual design of a shipborne Loyal Wingman UCAV based on aerodynamic, payload, stability and landing-distance constraints.
  • Evaluated wing planform, airfoil selection, weight distribution, longitudinal stability and preliminary aircraft geometry.

Rocket Flight Trajectory Simulation — MATLAB/Simulink

  • Developed a 2D rocket flight trajectory simulation covering powered and coasting flight phases.
  • Modelled thrust, drag, variable mass, atmospheric properties, Mach number, velocity, altitude and flight-path angle.

Coaxial Propeller Aerodynamic Performance Analysis — SU2, Pointwise, ParaView

  • Investigated the effect of axial spacing on hover performance of isolated and coaxial APC 12×6E propellers.
  • Generated unstructured meshes in Pointwise and compared thrust, figure of merit and wake interaction using SU2 simulations.

Wingtip Float Ground Effect CFD Analysis — ANSYS Fluent, Pointwise, ParaView

  • Performed CFD simulations to investigate the aerodynamic effects of wingtip floats under ground effect conditions.
  • Compared lift, drag, pressure distribution, vorticity magnitude and Q-criterion for clean and float-equipped wing configurations.
