For 6 months, I served as an candidate engineer in the Fighter Jets Systems Installation Design department. During this period, I gained hands-on experience in system installation design and modernization processes for SU-25 and F-16 aircraft. I acquired proficiency in NX software, focusing on the design of sheet metal and composite parts. Specifically, I was actively involved in the pylon modernization process for the SU-25 aircraft. This experience provided me with valuable insights into aerospace engineering practices, including detailed design considerations and project management within a collaborative team setting.

The internship was carried out in HÜRJET Structural Design Department. Gained experience in load analysis, material properties, and structural analysis, focusing on designing and analyzing key structural elements, and gaining experience in CATIA. In addition, I gained broad engineering knowledge in the aviation industry. This involved contributing to the design and analysis of aircraft structures while adhering to aerospace engineering standards and regulations. I also learned about aircraft systems and operations, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to solve engineering challenges specific to aviation. This experience enhanced my problem-solving and project management skills in a dynamic environment.

  • Gained hands-on experience in various machining operations, including milling, turning, drilling, and grinding. Developed an understanding of critical process parameters such as cutting speed, feed rate, and depth of cut, and their impact on machining efficiency and quality. Acquired knowledge of material properties for metals, plastics, and composites, enabling the selection of appropriate tools and processes for effective machining of each material type.
  • Learned the basics of CNC programming languages, including G-code for controlling movements and M-code for miscellaneous functions. Gained experience with programming software tools such as SOLIDWORKS AUTOCAD for writing and simulating CNC programs. Acquired skills in setting up and calibrating CNC machines, loading programs, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Learned about industry standards for technical drawings (e.g., ANSI, ISO) and their application. Gained skills in adding detailed annotations, dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes to technical drawings. Acquired an understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to specify allowable variations in part geometry.
