Microbial Genetic and Biotechnology Laboratory is a research laboratory located at Gebze Technical University and run by Professor Doctor Sedef Tunca Gedik. In this laboratory, I learned antibiotic sample preparation and stocking, spore stock preparation and stocking, PCR, rt-PCR, plasmid isolation, RNA isolation, cDNA synthesis, and aseptic techniques.By working with different types of microorganisms, I observed different microorganism pathways and learned their manipulations also microbial effects on pollution through studies conducted with bacteria that can degrade plastic.

Professor Doctor Aziz Sancar Biological Clock Laboratory is located at Gebze Technical University. It is the research laboratory of Professor Doctor Nuri Öztürk. In this laboratory: I learned Agarose Gel Electrophoresis, Cell Counting, Transformation, Co-IP, Miniprep DNA isolation techniques.In the cell laboratory section, I learned cellular procedures such as cell passage, cell opening, medium change, cell laboratory rules and sterilization. I learned how cells, proteins and some systems used in the biological clock are affected by darkness and light, their functioning.

Cancer Signal Transmission and Apoptosis Laboratory is the research laboratory of Professor Doctor Asuman Demiroğlu Zergeroğlu that located at Gebze Technical University. During my observer intern this laboratory;I learned about Western Blot, Southern Blot, Fluorescent staining and observation techniques, and working under sterile conditions. I learned the cancer mechanisms and observe the behavior and development of cancerous cells. I learned about cancer pathways and apoptosis pathways in mammalian cells.
