An important project of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology is to create mobile phone coverage in the tourist villages that do not have this service. My task in this project, as project manager and supervisor was to control each part of the project in the villages including, electricity, access road, and communication tower, and finally, do DriveTest using TEMS software and analyzing the quality of mobile phone signals (2G, 3G, and 4G) and finally approval of all parts if all conditions were true .
Universal Service Obligation (USO) plan was proposed by Iran Ministry of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), aiming at providing Asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL) internet access to rural areas and villages in Iran. The telecommunication centers of 80 villages in Bushehr province were to be equipped with this service on the basis of radio, fiber, and Cisco switches by the contractor. Duties: My role as the employer's representative, supervisor, and project manager in the province, was to create coordination between the contractor and employer, check the quality and standard of infrastructure transmission lines, internet at the endpoint, and switches & routers configuration installed at the telecommunication centers. And lastly was confirmation of the project.
Another USO project planned by the Iran Ministry of ICT was fast Internet access using 4G technology in villages, aiming at eliminating the Internet penetration gap between rural and urban areas. In this plan, more than 200 villages in Bushehr have been equipped with this service. In addition to coordinating between contractor and employer and checking infrastructure, my other task at the end of finishing each internet site was to check all Components and features of 4G internet service using TEMS software and confirm that part of project if analysis of TEMS output were acceptable.
