Date of Birth: July 13, 1993
As a naval architecture and marine engineer, I have developed strong technical skills and knowledge through extensive experience in a shipyard. I have successfully handled various projects including steel plate work, pipe and mechanical systems, as well as the installation of ballast water treatment systems. This experience has provided me with a broad understanding of ship maintenance, repair, and overhaul. Proficiency in English and beginner-level Bulgarian has enabled me to effectively communicate on international projects and collaborate successfully with multicultural teams.
In the short term, my goal is to leverage my skills expertise and experience in the applied position to deliver high-quality engineering solutions and improve project success rates. Long-term, I aim to advance into a leadership role, enhancing my strategic decision-making skills and contributing to the field of marine engineering as a specialized leader. Additionally, I plan to stay abreast of international standards and innovative technologies, playing an active role in your company’s global projects and integrating best practices to contribute to the company’s success.

My name is Anıl Balkan, and my journey around the world has greatly enriched both my personal and professional life. In 2012, I traveled to Bulgaria for university studies, where I had the opportunity to explore many cities across the country. This early experience sparked my passion for cultural immersion and global perspectives.
In 2016, I embarked on a Work and Travel adventure in the United States. As a lifeguard, I worked in various locations, visiting eight states including some of the most iconic ones like New York, Miami, and Las Vegas. This experience not only allowed me to experience diverse American cultures but also honed my ability to adapt and thrive in dynamic environments.
Returning from the U.S., I completed my education and started my career, saving up to fund more travels. My next major adventure was a cruise with my spouse, where we explored seven Greek islands. This journey deepened my appreciation for different cultures and historical sites.
In the summer of 2023, I participated in a company training program in the Netherlands. During my 20-day stay, I explored some of the country’s most significant landmarks, further broadening my cultural understanding. My love for travel continued in March 2024, when I revisited the Netherlands with my spouse, renting an electric vehicle to explore Belgium.
Currently, I am planning a trip to Egypt at the end of September and, depending on visa approval, a return visit to the Netherlands in October or November. Each journey has contributed to my growth, enhancing my ability to work effectively in multicultural settings and adding a global perspective to my professional approach.
