The project is a service contract in upstream called as Off Plot Delivery Contract (ODC-North). The Client is Petroleum Development of Oman (PDO). The contract includes the construction of flow lines, preparation of well pads for rig operation, erection of overhead lines and construction of access roads for well pads. It is a unit priced, long terms contract (10 years) with almost 2500-unit rates together with composite and star rates. The total budget for the workload of 10 years was over 1 Billion USD.
  • Responsibilities:
  • 1) Responsible for the Contract overall Planning, Scheduling, Cost Estimate, Invoicing and Cost Control Process of the Company. In that sense, leading a group of 30 professionals composing of Planning Engineers, Cost Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and Cost Estimators located in 5 different sites and Coastal office in Muscat. Reporting directly to Project Manager. At the same time reporting to Governance Board for overall Project Control issues.
  • 2) Planning – Overall review and control of all EPC schedules of Purchase orders (PO’s) prepared by Lead Planning Engineer. Prepare Level 1 Overall Schedule and Progress Report for executive management level.
  • 3) Control of Contract resource planning for different locations and ensure coordination of Logistics, HR department and Site Management to initiate mobilization and demob. of resources.

  • Responsibilities:
  • 1) Leading site planning engineers, cost control engineers and responsible for the overall (EPC) Planning, Scheduling, Cost Control and Reporting.
  • 2) Planning – Master & Detailed schedule (level 4) of the projects including Management, Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Commissioning. Resource planning each phase according to budget allocation.
  • 3) Monitoring – Control of updated schedules by site planners and perform delay analysis within the content of liabilities of parties involved and proposed recovery mitigations to reach the target completion dates together with budget planning.

The budgeted cost of the project was around 380 M. $.
  • Responsibilities:
  • 1) Responsible for the overall (EPC) Planning, Scheduling, Cost Control and Progress Reports on schedule and cost.
  • 2) Planning – Master & Detailed schedule (level 4) of the whole project including Management, Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Commissioning. Resource planning of all phases linked with financial planning. Preparation of test logic precedence networks for execution of Project with P6 Primavera Project Management.
