PROJECTS

Bandırma Boron and Acid Factories Operating Directorate Turbo Generator Systems and Energy Infrastructure Modernization Construction Work

Client: Eti Mining Operations General Directorate

The overall objective of the Project is to install a 36 MW intermediate drawing fully condensing turbogenerator group and its turbine building, cooling tower, breaker, transformer, diesel generators and all appurtenances connected to them. Moreover, procurement, assembly/disassembly, commissioning of all equipment related to the modernization and integration of the Turbine / Generator (T/G) Group generating 6.3 kV voltage with an installed power of 5.3 kV with two counter pressure currently installed and its integration with the new system.

Construction of Emet Sulfuric Acid Plant

Client: Eti Mining Operations General Directorate

The overall objective of the Project is to construction of a sulfur-based 350,000 tons/year capacity sulfuric acid production facility and auxiliary and ancillary units to meet the needs of steam, electrical energy, water, etc. required for sulfuric acid production.

İskenderun Carbon Black Production Plant

Client: OYAK Sentetik Karbon Ürünleri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.

The overall objective of the Project is to meet Turkey's entire annual domestic carbon black need of 220 thousand tons and prevents annual carbon black imports of 300 million dollars.

The process tanks, pipe bridges, cable trays, cables, instruments, process pipes, cogeneration and desox units within the scope of the project will be installed by EKON.

Construction and Installation of Ground Bunker Works within the Scope of İsdemir New No. 1 Blast Furnace Project

Client: İskenderun Demir ve Çelik A.Ş.

The overall objective of the Project is to construct a new ground bunker in the existing 437-438 facility area and a conveyor line in the JH-1 junction tower in the blast furnace area.

Mr. Acır has experience in working with local & international experts and has been assigned as designer, inspector, research & development engineer and reporter for more than 7 years mostly for drinking water treatment and wastewater treatment sectors.

He worked in the preparation of technical specification, feasibility studies and cost estimation. He has experience in inspection of electrical works, design review, selection of materials, tests & commissioning and process follow up during DNP.

In addition to working as an electrical & electronics engineer in facility and infrastructure projects, he worked in energy efficiency and renewable energy issues with the YEVDES project.

The following activities were performed in all projects full time at site.

• Inspection of the completed electrical installations according to the Technical Specifications,
• Site Supervision works for the WWTP and WTP projects (SCADA and electrical works installation, testing all electrical and automation system),
• Review of submitted materials according to the technical specifications,
• Regular monitoring of the ongoing site works attendance to the tests for the electrical equipment and instruments,
• Attending and supervising testing and commissioning of all electrical and automation software services,
• Reviewing and commenting on the Electrical Design Drawings
• Preparation of QA/QC report, Monthly Report, and Interim Report,
• View of daily, weekly and monthly reports,
• Supporting to the Project Director for management issues and reply of Contractor’s letter or claims,
• Regular monitoring of the defects of the projects in Defects Notification Period,
• Preparation of technical specifications, Bill of Quantities and other technical documents for projects without construction contracts.

The overall objective of the project is to promote energy efficiency and renewable energy in line with the EU's resource efficiency.
In terms of energy efficiency, Turkey's legislative framework is partially aligned with the EU acquis. The contract aims to assistance in review of existing strategies, legislative gap analysis, regulatory and sectoral impact assessments, enabling the argumentation for full alignment with EU acquis and, in parallel, with EU policy framework, ensuring.
For this purpose, this project aims at enhancing the capacity of the municipalities and universities in relation to renewable energy and energy efficiency.
