Work History

Data Collector and Entry Clerk for Sensitive Case

The UN Legal Clinic, Through the Organization Adecco
03.2022 - 12.2024

The Legal Clinic is a joint project between the United Nations and the Union of Turkish Bar Associations, aimed at providing legal and rights-based support to refugees residing across all Turkish provinces, especially those in Gaziantep.

My role involved receiving calls from refugees, collecting their information, and registering cases that required legal assistance or a private consultation with the on-site lawyer. This included cases needing the appointment of a private lawyer funded by the United Nations, such as divorce cases, invalid identity issues, individuals being deported to detention centers, cases requiring special support related to violence against women or sexual violence against children, and cases requiring court-issued protection orders concerning children’s education and health or women’s rights.

Additionally, I provided psychological support in coordination with the social counselor at the center for cases such as LGBTQ+ individuals or women experiencing severe domestic violence. I followed up on each case individually, provided consecutive interpretation from Turkish to Arabic between the client and the lawyer or social counselor, entered the data into the system, and directed the individuals to the appropriate court

Data Update and Resettlement Case Preparation Offi

Directorate of Migration Management in Diyarbakır Province, Türkiye – Through Manpower Organization
01.2020 - 11.2021

I began my professional career in humanitarian organizations on July 1, 2017, at the Migration Management in Diyarbakır, Turkey, through the company SAHRA as an Arabic-Turkish interpreter. My role involved providing consecutive interpretation between Arabic-speaking refugees, especially Syrians, and Turkish staff regarding personal information, reasons for coming to Turkey, social status (whether married or single), and personal documents such as a Syrian ID, family book, or passport. I translated this information into Turkish and assessed whether the individual had any special circumstances, such as exposure to physical or sexual violence, and collected details like the number of school-age children. Following this, I scheduled appointments for receiving a Temporary Protection ID, also known as asylum rights.
